It’s been revealed that singer Aimer will be in charge of the theme song and background music for Sasaki Nozomi’s upcoming drama, “Koi nante Zeitaku ga Watashi ni Ochite kuru no darou ka?“. This drama will be aired in 16th April.

The drama’s theme song will be a brand new song titled “Hoshikuzu Venus“. For the background music, Aimer will cover various songs by Western artists including Nat King Cole’s “L-O-V-E“.

“Koi nante Zeitaku ga Watashi ni Ochite kuru no darou ka?” is based on a novel by Nakai Maasa, who won “The 6th Japanese Love Story Award“. It’s a humorous love story that revolves around a 25-year-old single woman with no relationship experience.

“Hoshikuzu Venus” is described as a painful love song about the mixed feelings one experiences with a break up, and will be released as a digital single on May 11th.

A few days ago, the first full trailer for the upcoming movie ‘Thermae Romae‘ was released on its official website.

The movie depicts the story of Lucius (Abe Hiroshi), a bath design engineer who slips through time between Ancient Rome and modern Japan. It’s a comical portrayal of Lucius’ first experiences with the modern Japan bathing cultures and his struggles to introduce some of those habits in the Ancient Rome.

Aside from Abe Hiroshi, the wonderful cast consists of Ueto Aya, Ichimura Masachika, Kitamura Kazuki, Shishido Kai, Katsuya, and more.

“Thermae Romae” is going to open in Japanese cinemas on April 28th.

[1] 大人になる/なりたい (otona ni naru/naritai) - literally means to (want to) "become an adult/grow up" but it also has the underlying meaning of "maturing." So don't read this as just physically growing up, but mentally (as in "growing in experience") as well.

[2]花を咲かせる (hana wo sakaseru) - literally means to make flowers bloom, but is more often used as an expression in the Japanese language that means "to become successful"/"to bring something to cultivation." So she's basically saying that during the limited days, while you're still young, do your best to become as successful as you can.
