On May 16th, actress Ueto Aya attended Tiffany & Co.’s 175th anniversary party, LEGENDARY FOR 175 YEARS.

The actress wore a necklace and ring totaling over one hundred million yen as well as a beautiful blue dress to the event. “It’s such an honor. My heart is pounding. I’d love to be a woman who can put [jewelry like this] on of my own accord,” she commented.

“Before I even realized it, I’ll be turning 27 this year, so I wonder if I’m at the age where expensive jewelry suits me,” said Ueto. She also sweetly remarked that she wants to buy jewelry to match with her mother one day. “Generally they’re for couples and such, but I’ve thought about picking out and buying jewelry with my mother so that it can be something with deep meaning for us,” she told the press.

At the event, actress Dan Rei also made an appearance wearing a green dress and a bracelet with 1,560 separate diamonds attached. “My heart’s fluttering, like it’s dancing or something,” the actress said earnestly. “I can feel its profound importance, and the history [behind the company].”

At the party, some of Tiffany’s most prized jewels from their main shop in New York were put on display, including the world’s largest yellow diamond (which rarely leaves the headquarters store). Actress Manda Hisako, models SHIHO, Tomioka Yoshiko, and Chinese actress Zhang Jingchu also appeared at the event.
